Staff Software Development Engineer (AI Engineer, Frontend)

CVS Health is on a mission to simplify and enable digital experiences for millions of users through their AI-powered platform products. They are seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and development of their Platform Chat product, focusing on building next-generation conversational AI experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, real-time chat and multi-agent AI systems
• Develop agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and workflow automation
• Integrate LLM APIs and enterprise tools
• Drive architecture, coding standards, and best practices
• Build systems for observability, safety, and performance monitoring
• Mentor engineers and contribute to AI/agentic design patterns

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years building AI/LLM-based systems
• Strong skills in Python or Node.js (TypeScript)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and real-time messaging
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, RAG, and LLM integrations
• Experience building custom AI/agent platforms
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GraphQL, or event-driven systems
• Background in ML systems or AI research
