GAMA-1 Technologies is a rapidly growing technology business that provides strategic information assurance and information security solutions to the Federal Government. As an Information Security Engineer III, you will ensure cloud environments are secure and compliant, integrating security into every stage of cloud deployment and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and maintain secure AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical systems
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and automation tools
- Configure and manage AWS security controls including IAM, VPCs, KMS, encryption, and network security services
- Support secure cloud services such as API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, and containerized workloads
- Perform vulnerability management and risk remediation using tools like Splunk, Nessus, and Tenable
- Monitor and respond to security events using enterprise security and firewall tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Imperva, Fortinet)
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and support continuous security monitoring
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy and operationalize secure cloud solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud-native and cloud security environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC, KMS, encryption, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and secure cloud automation
- Experience with security and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Tenable
- Understanding of cloud security principles including encryption, IAM, segmentation, and application security
- Experience supporting compliance and risk-based AWS environments
- Must hold at least one of the following certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, or CAP
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
