What you will be doing:

Analyse and document current ("as-is") business operations and application landscapes.

Develop architecture elements aligned with enterprise strategy and Finance transformation objectives.

Design robust integration patterns - including APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures - to ensure seamless connectivity with upstream and downstream systems.

Produce high-quality artifacts that conform to established Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.

Partner with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to elicit and translate functional and non-functional requirements into implementable designs.

Define strategies for data architecture, migration, and governance to maintain data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

Act as the primary technical point of contact between internal teams and system integration partners.

Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of architectural risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Socialize architectural decisions with governance forums and ensure strict adherence to security and privacy regulations for financial systems.

Operate as a delivery-embedded architect, providing guidance through design, build, test, and deployment phases to ensure consistent alignment with enterprise objectives.
What our client is looking for:

A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)

7+ years of experience in IT Solution Architecture within large-scale enterprise environments.

Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, including APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.

Experience with cloud-based architectures, with a specific focus on Microsoft Azure.

Proficiency with enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate to work effectively within established governance and guardrails.

Strong understanding of security, risk, and regulatory compliance, particularly within financial and regulated industries.
-
Must be a strategic thinker capable of aligning architectural decisions with enterprise-wide objectives and identifying design gaps proactively.

Ability to translate complex technical and integration concepts into clear, business-relevant language.

Needs an accountable, collaborative, and assertive leader who is results-oriented and can maintain architectural discipline in evolving environments.
