Senior Data Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support an industry leader in financial services for a 6 month contract remote role. The Senior Data Engineer role will be responsible for building scalable backend data platforms that empower clients to access and leverage data with ease.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality, innovative and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment
• Performing application maintenance and ensuring information security controls
• Provide timely status updates, issue resolutions, and step-by-step instructions on usability questions
• Collaborate with Product, Execution, and other support teams to resolve or escalate user inquiries

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions across multiple technology platforms, programming languages, and Data platform
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks)
• Deep experience in data pipelines ETL/ELT tools like Informatica, Control-M
• Familiar with backend development building in Java / Python with API first approach for scalable environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
