Valor Strategic Ventures (VSV) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business based in Annapolis, Maryland, focused on strategic teaming arrangements, partnerships, and joint ventures for government contracts. The Vice President of Product Management is responsible for leading the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, overseeing the entire product lifecycle while collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across Valor Strategic Ventures’ offerings
- Overseeing end-to-end product lifecycle management, from market research and concept development through launch, optimization, and retirement
- Defining product requirements
- Prioritizing features
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs
- Coordinating with business development, project management, technology partners, and executive leadership to shape competitive solutions for government clients
- Mentoring product teams
- Establishing best practices
- Monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and sustainable growth
Requirements:
- Strong foundation in Product Strategy and Product Management, with demonstrated experience building and executing product roadmaps
- Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, assess market opportunities, and make evidence-based decisions
- Proven Team Leadership capabilities, including leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels
- Solid Project Management skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables across complex initiatives
- Experience working with or selling into government or public-sector markets; familiarity with government contracting environments is highly beneficial
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the ability to present product plans and results to executive leadership
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and operate with a high degree of ownership and accountability
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related field
