Job Description:
"Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a long term care
facility in Kaneohe that operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We offer

We are seeking a Lead Medical Biller to join our team. The Lead Biller will be
responsible for completing billing department tasks, including but not limited
to, posting medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts
in a timely and accurate manner. Process insurance claim denials, file appeals,
and contact insurance companies. This position works in a close team
environment to meet daily, monthly and quarterly billing metrics. Other
responsibilities include answering patient account balance questions, verifying
correct insurance filing information on behalf of the customer, verifying
receipt of all customer admission data, verifying insurance and notifying customer
and business office manager of potential billing problems while adhering to all
federal, state and local laws and regulations related to healthcare and
Medicare and Medicaid guidelines including the facility's HIPAA and Compliance
Program.
This position is 100% in facility, NO remote work available."
Requirements
"Required qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or a combination of education and experience in the healthcare related field required.
- Minimum one year experience with billing, collection required.
- Knowledge of various accounting duties & Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word required.
- Knowledge of billing codes, medical terminology and ICD 10 required.
- Exceptional communication, customer service skills, and phone etiquette required.
- Must meet basic health requirements including 2-step TB test, as well as successfully pass a drug test and background clearance
- Covid vaccine is required, no booster is needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Billing certification preferred
- Long Term Care experience preferred.
- Minimum one year experience with performing healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance billing or related work preferred.
- Experience in Medicare, Medicaid, private billing and EMR billing submissions preferred."
