Kapi‘olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a
specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai‘i's women and children
through excellence in
academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is
comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other
staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi‘olani Medical Center
for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable,
scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options
at Kapi‘olani and building support for these services within Hawai‘i as
a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Behavioral Health Services,
Emergency Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology and the full
spectrum of Pediatrics. Its Women’s specialists include Adult Hospitalists and
GYN Oncology.
At Kapiolani Medical Specialist, the Neurology department is an outpatient
ambulatory clinic specializing in sensory and motor functions and
diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The Neurology team
functions as a specialty area in conjunction with Primary Care Providers
to provide complete neurological care for the convenience of our West O‘ahu
families.
As a Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that patients and
their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance. You
will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our
Endoscopy department and assist with a variety of administrative tasks. These
include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients’
medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all
professional/technical fees generated by department providers; and performing
cash handling and collection. We are looking for someone sensitive
and helpful, with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability
to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to
delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people
Job duties:
Checking in & out patients, scheduling and reschedule
patients, insurance/payor registration."
Requirements
High school or equivalent. One (1) year of clerical
support in a health care setting or related experience. Basic computer
skills. Covid vaccine is required, no booster is needed.
