Closed Door Security is a global penetration testing and offensive security firm with operations across the UK, Middle East, and United States. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to own the full sales cycle for new business in the US market, focusing on building a pipeline of penetration testing engagements across various industries.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach
- Qualify inbound leads and route them through a consultative, scoping-call-based sales process
- Run discovery calls to understand a prospect's infrastructure, compliance drivers, and security posture
- Present Closed Door Security's services, including external, internal, and application penetration testing, red teaming, and compliance-driven assessments
- Build and manage a pipeline in CRM, with accurate forecasting and activity tracking
- Partner with internal technical teams during scoping calls, letting them lead technical qualification while you own the relationship and the close
- Develop and manage relationships with channel partners, including MSPs, MSSPs, and IT consultancies
- Represent Closed Door Security at industry events, webinars, and virtual conferences
- Stay current on the cybersecurity threat landscape, compliance frameworks (NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2), and competitive positioning
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or a related quota-carrying role
- Experience selling into IT, managed services, SaaS, or cybersecurity is strongly preferred
- Comfortable running a full sales cycle independently, from cold outreach to closed deal
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team
- Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or Apollo
- A consultative sales style. We do not lead with fear tactics or push people toward the most expensive option, we build trust by recommending what actually fits the customer's situation
- Existing network of MSP, MSSP, or IT consultancy relationships in the US
- Familiarity with penetration testing, vulnerability management, or offensive security concepts
- Experience selling into regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare
