NVIDIA is a leader in AI platforms and is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems. The role involves technical engagement, solving complex hardware issues, and establishing relationships with customers while working across functions within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions
- Solving complex hardware and deployment issues
- Be a technical specialist on GPU and networking products directly supporting sales account managers, working closely with the team to deliver outstanding AI datacenter solutions
- Actively establish the technical relationship with our customer’s engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts
- Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market
- Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners
- Establish positive relationships and communication channels with internal teams
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role
- In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware
- Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus
- Ability to multitask optimally in a multifaceted environment
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very sophisticated projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering
- Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment
- Networking knowledge -- TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc
- Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge
- Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space
- Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, and rack layout as well as CPU Architecture knowledge
