About this role
WellTheory is a digital health company helping people with autoimmune conditions take control of their health through personalized care, nutrition guidance, and ongoing coaching. They are seeking an Implementations Engineer to architect and build the insurance and data infrastructure, working closely with partners to ensure smooth implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and build the insurance and data infrastructure that powers eligibility, verification, and claims
- Work directly with new employer, health plan, and channel partners during implementation — collaborating hands-on to get each one live quickly and reliably
- Make foundational technical decisions as part of a small, generalist team building at the 0-to-1 stage
- Use AI tools to move faster and scale your impact as an individual contributor
- Write clear documentation so teammates on our fully-remote team can ramp up easily
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, Node, Postgres, and GCP
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience making foundational technical decisions at the 0-to-1 stage
- Ability to pick a problem and solve it
- Customer-centric mindset focused on customer needs throughout the entire software development life cycle
- Experience in making foundational technical decisions at an early stage
- Experience building products or large features from scratch
- Ability to create clear documentation for teammates
- Experience launching & maintaining robust systems in a production environment with real users for an extended period of time
- Skilled at using AI tools to augment impact as an individual contributor
- Deep empathy for the autoimmune experience
- Beginner's mindset with a love for learning and asking questions
- Unreasonably relentless with persistence
- You've worked in healthcare or really care about driving health outcomes in the autoimmune or women's health space
