Location: Alpharetta, GA 30005 (Onsite)
Hire Type: Contract (6 months+)
Job Summary:
Requires a moderate degree of PM knowledge, experience, skill & expertise
Additional skills needed: communication, problem solving, managing for results, managing conflict, creativity & critical thinking
Operates in coordination with & takes direction from both the ePMO Lead/Project Lead to ensure:
- All project activities/outputs align with strategic objectives, deliverables, schedules, business case & expectations set with Sponsors & client senior leadership
Support a combination of simple projects while facilitating/guiding the team to adhere to the PM discipline
This position will drive setting the team''s cadence for planning, updates & status reviews with Sponsors
He/she supports the success of the project by applying client PM principles, guidelines & standards
Travel may be required as needed.
Job Duties:
Assists Project Lead to Ensure Project Output Meets Program Expectations (~15% of time)
Facilitates All Project Planning & Execution of PM Activities (~25% of time)
Applies PM Processes/Tools Appropriate for Projects (~50% of time)
Identifies/Manages Interdependencies with Other Projects/Initiatives (~10% of time)
Required Skills:
Experience applying Stakeholder/Communication Management principles including governing bodies, Owners, Sponsors, key senior stakeholders, Project Lead, team & SMEs
Able to plan weeks in advance to manage efforts & multiple projects
Able to work full time (~40 hours/week with potential overtime); flexible to work occasional weekends, holidays & overnight stays as needed
Experience/expertise with commercial PM software (MS Project/Office, etc.) & ability to learn client Projects Website & other tools
Experience with Zoom, WebEx or similar remote meeting applications
Willing to travel by plane or drive a personal vehicle/rental car (reimbursed)
Bachelor''s Degree (or international comparable degree)
4 years of PM experience
6 years as a project team member
Experience using MS Office including MS Project & SharePoint
Willing to travel by plane or drive personal vehicle/rental car
PM Certifications: PMI PMP, Agile, LEAN Certified/Six Sigma, etc.
