Role Overview
- Senior Functional QA Engineer with 10+ years of experience in the BFSI domain, focused on testing wealth management products.
Must Have Skills
- 3+ years of experience in the BFSI domain with a focus on wealth management product testing
- Strong understanding of wealth management or financial services domains
- Hands-on automation experience with Playwright using JavaScript
- Advanced SQL for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with Test Plan creation, Test Case Development, Review, and Execution
- End-to-end system testing, regression testing, mobile testing, functional testing, sanity testing, API testing, and integration testing
- Defect reporting and tracking using Azure DevOps
- Agile Methodology
- Ability to understand business rules, calculations, and financial logic
Roles and Responsibilities
Business & Domain-Driven Data Testing
- Develop a strong functional understanding of wealth management products, including accounts, positions, holdings, transactions, balances, and statements
- Develop a strong functional understanding of fees, performance, valuations, and corporate actions
- Understand business workflows and data flows end-to-end
- Translate business rules and requirements into testable data validation scenarios
Data Testing & Reconciliation
- Design and execute data validation and reconciliation tests for financial transactions and balances
Collaboration & Defect Analysis
- Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and expected data behavior
- Investigate data issues with a business-first mindset
- Provide clear explanations of data breaks and mismatches
- Document defects with business context, data evidence, and root-cause insights
