Product Designer

New York Technology Partners is seeking a Product Designer to join their team. The role involves creating and maintaining design systems, translating visual guidelines into product-led solutions, and ensuring seamless execution of digital projects through collaboration with design, development, and strategy teams.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain comprehensive design systems, including components, patterns, and documentation
• Create wireframes, UI designs, and prototypes that clearly define the structure and functionality of digital products in Figma
• Establish design tokens, style guides, and interaction patterns
• Build and optimize Figma component libraries and auto-layout systems
• Ensure that all designs are consistent, accessible, and scalable across all product touchpoints through systematic design approaches
• Ability to translate visual guidelines and strategic ideas into product-led solutions
• Design beautiful, intuitive, and responsive interfaces that scale across multiple products and platforms
• Create high-fidelity prototypes and interactions in Figma
• Advocate for best practices in product design
• Act as the bridge between design, development, and strategy teams to ensure a seamless execution of digital projects

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional experience in product design with at least 2 years focused on design systems
• Proven experience as a UI/Product Designer or similar role showcasing successful projects and outcomes
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including advanced features like auto-layout, components, and variants
• Strong portfolio and experience showcasing product design deliverables, user flows, wireframes, pixel-perfect UI designs, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, AI utilities, complex websites, and consumer apps
• Advanced mastery of Figma and its full feature set
• Strong understanding of design tokens and systematic design approaches
• Proven experience in design systems (including design tokens and systematic design approaches and documentation best practices) to product design decisions
• Solid knowledge of web and mobile design standards, systems, and patterns. Ability to analyze complex user requirements and translate them into intuitive and efficient structures
• Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design across web, iOS, and Android platforms
• Knowledge of front-end technologies and design implementation
• Experience with version control and design ops workflows
• Strong understanding of component architecture and modular design
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
