Systems Administrator / Level I Infrastructure Support

Seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator / Level I Infrastructure Support Consultant to support end-user systems, Microsoft environments, server operations, and general infrastructure support across multiple locations.
This individual will serve as an escalation point for desktop, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, basic networking, and virtualization-related issues. The role will support day-to-day troubleshooting, user support, system maintenance, and infrastructure administration while partnering with internal IT leadership and external vendors as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting across desktop, server, M365, networking, and virtualization environments in a fast-paced, hands-on support setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all help desk related issues.
- Help Desk operation and IT problem resolution.
- Install and maintain desktop, laptop, network equipment/software and perform system maintenance and security updates.
- Peripheral device management such as printers, scanners etc.
- Document all the software and hardware changes related to LSG company environment.
- Maintain the LSG asset inventory for all computer hardware and software.
- Responsible for purchase of end user hardware, software, services as needed.
- Responsible for training end users for repetitive help desk issues as necessary.
- Reports status of open problems, report projects, and system status to the Sr. Director of IT.
Must Have Skills
- Desktop and infrastructure support experience
- Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
- Windows Server support experience
- Active Directory and Group Policy administration
- Basic virtualization exposure with VMware, Hyper-V, or Azure VMs
- Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and general connectivity troubleshooting
- Prior MSP or high-volume end-user support experience preferred
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites while escalating appropriately
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Nice to Have
- Basic database support exposure (SQL)
- Azure infrastructure or cloud platform exposure
- Scripting or automation experience (Powershell)
- Experience supporting switches, firewalls, or wireless infrastructure
- Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or VMware certifications
- Experience supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations, or system implementation projects
