Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Specialist Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst Specialist to join a high-impact data and analytics initiative. The ideal candidate will serve as a senior Business/Systems Analyst, gathering business and technical requirements, defining data requirements and business rules, creating test plans and acceptance criteria, and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
This role requires strong analytical, communication, and data visualization skills, along with experience working with complex datasets and modern BI technologies. The ideal candidate will also have experience leveraging AI-assisted data analysis and reporting techniques.
Key Responsibilities Requirements Analysis & Testing- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and manage test plans, test scenarios, and test cases across Agile and Waterfall projects.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Translate complex business and data requests into actionable analytical requirements.
- Communicate technical findings and data limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and refine AI prompts and query strategies for extracting insights from complex datasets.
- Support users in creating effective AI prompts for accurate data retrieval.
- Build and maintain standardized prompt libraries for recurring reporting needs.
- Validate AI-generated outputs and identify potential inaccuracies or hallucinations.
- Extract, integrate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external data sources.
- Design, validate, and support reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, reporting standards, and data quality requirements.
- Conduct training sessions to improve organizational data literacy.
- Create user documentation and tutorials for AI-assisted reporting.
- Collaborate with business users, data engineering teams, and IT to resolve data issues.
- Stay current with emerging AI and analytics technologies and recommend process improvements.
- 10+ years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex business and data requirements into technical solutions.
- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Analysis, or related roles.
- 10+ years of hands-on SQL experience for data extraction and manipulation.
- 10+ years of experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Experience using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse environments.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience developing and delivering training for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Experience creating AI prompt libraries using tools such as Streamlit and Python.
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices and governance.
- Onsite position.
- Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend support as needed.
