POSITION: Childcare Center Classroom SUBSTITUTE FLOATER/AFTER CARE FULL-TIME

LOCATION: CHILDCARE CENTER IN North Dade- (NW 199th Street & Miami Avenue)

When: Daytime, Monday thru Friday, full-time hours

Shift available: 11:00am to 6:00pm

Rate of Pay: $16.89 per hour*

*This position requires High School Diploma/equivalent GED, DCF 45 hours childcare, and CDA Pre-school or FCCPC Birth to Five, or College degree ECE, and DCF 45 Hours childcare.

OR

Rate of Pay: $15.35 per hour**

***This position requires High School Diploma or equivalent GED, and DCF 45 hrs childcare, and willing to take CDA courses to complete within 18 months.

Responsible for planning and implementing daily learning activities, nurturing the children and managing and maintaining the Head Start classroom and After Care, maintains its equipment and supplies, establishes and maintains supportive relationships with children, and parents and implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum for infants and toddlers, and preschoolers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

• Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for children in a center-based setting
• Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
• Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
• Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
• Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
• Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
• Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required, DCF 45 hours childcare, and CDA preschool/FCCPC Birth to Five, College degree with DCF 45 hours can be considered.

High School diploma or GED required, DCF 45 hours childcare, with expectation of completion of CDA coursework within 18 months.

Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate; certificate of good health and completed TB test required; requires fingerprints for level 2 criminal background check, and mandatory drug test
