Production Operator (Extruder) / 3rd Shift

The Impact You'll Make

You will play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations by ensuring material flow and production processes run smoothly. Your work directly impacts production output, product quality, and overall team performance while reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This is a 3rd Shift position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate equipment and perform tasks to meet production schedules and output goals.
• Move, stage, and supply materials to keep production running without interruption.
• Perform visual and basic quality checks to ensure product standards are met.
• Maintain your work area using 5S standards to ensure organization and cleanliness.
• Monitor equipment and escalate any issues impacting safety, quality, or production.
• Work closely with your team to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Assist with changeovers, setups, and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in rubber manufacturing or similar industry.
• Knowledge of 5S or lean manufacturing principles.
• Machinist or mechanical aptitude experience.
• Previous production or manufacturing experience.
  
  

• This position is in a manufacturing environment without climate control; employees may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures depending on the season.
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Lift 50+ pounds consistently, bend, kneel, stand in one position for eight (8) hours or more
• Required use of PPE.
