Pay Range: $24 to $32 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm)
Position Summary Description:
Directs and controls the flow of work in the warehouse as directed by the department supervisor. Receives, stores, and distributes products within the establishment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs and controls the flow of work in the warehouse as directed by the department supervisor.
• Upholds operational procedures with employees.
• Solicits feedback from employees to find solutions to operational issues.
• Assists with the training of new employees.
• Reads receiving schedule, customer orders, shipping orders, and/or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys products and materials from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places products or materials on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as slotting location and item number.
• Selects products and assembles customer orders from designated slotting locations in preparation for final check and delivery.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Ensures all products stored and/or selected for delivery are free from damage and/or pest infestation.
• Compiles storage and/or selection data for daily reports.
• Prepare pallets for shipping with appropriate labeling information.
• Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.
Qualifications:
Education/Training and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years experience of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the food-service industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb and sit intermittently up to 10 hours per day. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Working Environment:
The working environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperatures ranging from -15 °F to 88 °F. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, such as those found on a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, and exhaust fumes from delivery vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and illumination is moderate to good. Exposure to outside weather conditions is occasional.
Equipment Used:
Frequent use of a sit-down forklift, riding pallet jack, and/or walking pallet jack.
