Swim Instructor

YMCA NSW is a leading not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to helping people live healthy, active lives. We're passionate about providing quality swimming instruction in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for people of all ages and abilities.

You'll teach swimming skills to children and adults, following the Swim and Survive program and other relevant syllabi. You'll play a vital role in building water confidence and safety skills while creating a fun and engaging learning environment.

• Deliver safe, professional swimming lessons that progress student ability
• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and abilities
• Provide feedback to students and parents on progress
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment
• Follow YMCA NSW policies, including child protection and risk management

What We're Looking For

• Current CPR certificate
• AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Experience teaching children with special needs
• Additional swim teaching certifications
