Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Plano, TX Onsite
Duration: 12+ Months W2 Contract
Job Summary
Experienced Scrum Master with strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Align) to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
- Coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact team productivity.
- Monitor sprint progress and ensure timely delivery of committed work.
- Drive Agile maturity across teams and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Create and maintain Agile metrics, dashboards, and reports using Jira.
- Configure and administer Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, filters, and automation where required.
- Maintain project documentation and knowledge repositories in Confluence.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to communicate project status, risks, and dependencies.
- Support release planning, PI planning (if using SAFe), and cross-team coordination.
- Facilitate risk identification, mitigation planning, and dependency management.
- Promote transparency, continuous feedback, and process improvements across Agile teams.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean Agile, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with the Atlassian Suite:
- Jira Software
- Confluence
- Jira Dashboards & Reporting
- Jira Workflow Configuration
- Jira Automation
- Jira Align (preferred)
- Experience managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics including Velocity, Burndown Charts, Burnup Charts, Cycle Time, Lead Time, and Team Capacity.
- Experience in stakeholder management and executive-level reporting.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, coaching, and communication skills.
- Experience working with distributed onsite/offshore teams.
- Ability to identify delivery risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
