Summary:
The Commodity Manager for Power Modules & Thermal Management will play a pivotal role in optimizing global sourcing strategies within the logistics distribution and supply chain sector. Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this permanent full-time position is essential for driving cost efficiencies and ensuring the procurement of high-quality components that meet the company's operational needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier relationships and contribute to the overall success of the organization. This role will be pivotal in supplier strategy, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, supplier performance, capacity planning, and technology roadmaps for power semiconductor modules, thermal management systems, cold plates, heat sinks, thermal interface materials, cooling components, and related assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for power modules and thermal management components.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure alignment on specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Manage inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities and market trends to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all sourcing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in commodity management or procurement, preferably in the logistics or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience managing global suppliers within power electronics, automotive, industrial electronics, EV charging, renewable energy, or related industries.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research techniques.
- Experience managing global RFQs and supplier selection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
