Site Safety Engineer

Gray Construction is looking to add a Site Safety Engineer to their Field Operations Team. This is a field/project based position responsible for enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance on project sites.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations
• Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of the company
• Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion
• Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required
• Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors who are in non-compliance with safety requirements
• Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings
• Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings
• Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training
• Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• OSHA 30 Hour card
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development
