Gray Construction is looking to add a Site Safety Engineer to their Field Operations Team. This is a field/project based position responsible for enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance on project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations
- Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of the company
- Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained
- Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion
- Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required
- Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and subcontractors who are in non-compliance with safety requirements
- Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings
- Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings
- Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training
- Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- OSHA 30 Hour card
- Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who has a passion for collaboration and professional development
