Mechanical [Architectural] Engineer (Hybrid for NYC Metro or REMOTE - NATIONAL)

Stark Engineering, DPC is an architectural engineering firm based in New York that serves a nationwide clientele. They are seeking an experienced mechanical (architectural) engineer to independently design and prepare high-quality engineering documents for various projects including retail and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead mechanical engineer on assigned projects
• Draft technical documentation utilizing both Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychart for equipment sizing
• Perform Energy compliance using compliance tool such as ComCheck and Title 24
• Perform full MEPF site surveys and reports
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFI’s

Requirements:

• Applicable experience as a mechanical (architectural) designer/engineer at engineering consultancy(ies)
• A Bachelor's of Science in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university
• Existing knowledge of mechanical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and relevant codes such as IMC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement Mechanical design documentation
• Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD
• Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office and job sites on a hybrid schedule
• EIT certification or PE license, or on track to obtain licensure
• Experience in direct communication with project stakeholders including architects, owners, and other project consultants
• Ambitions for career advancement including leadership for the Mechanical engineering discipline
• Existing knowledge of plumbing design
