Senior Decisions Engineer

Reqroute, Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Decisions Engineer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale solutions using the Decisions.com platform. This role involves technical leadership, mentoring engineering teams, and establishing development standards while ensuring the delivery of high-performing decisioning solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise solutions using the Decisions.com platform
• Build, configure, and maintain:
• Business Rules Engines
• Flows and Workflows
• Integrations with internal and external systems
• Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performing decisioning solutions
• Design end-to-end architecture for Decisions-based applications
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical workflows
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, and scalability standards
• Implement API-first and microservices-based architectures where appropriate
• Serve as the primary Decisions.com Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Define and promote development standards, coding guidelines, and design patterns
• Mentor developers and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions
• Guide teams on troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Integrate APIs using Azure API Management (APIM)
• Implement automated deployments, monitoring, rollback strategies, and operational best practices
• Develop integrations with:
• MongoDB
• Azure Cosmos DB
• SQL Server and other relational databases
• Design efficient data models and data integration workflows
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with enterprise standards
• Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and DevOps teams
• Participate in technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and solution walkthroughs
• Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with the Decisions.com platform
• Expertise in Workflow Design
• Expertise in Business Rules Engine Development
• Expertise in System Integration Patterns
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience with Azure API Management (APIM)
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
• Knowledge of data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, .NET, Python (preferred for integrations)
• Scripting and automation experience is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong mentoring and leadership abilities
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven with a proactive and ownership-oriented mindset
• 12+ years of overall IT experience
• 9+ years of hands-on experience with the Decisions.com platform or comparable enterprise decisioning platforms
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale workflow automation and decisioning solutions
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into decisioning platforms
• Knowledge of Decision Intelligence concepts
• Experience with Vector Databases, Embeddings, Azure Cosmos DB Vector Search, or MongoDB Atlas Search
• Exposure to enterprise integration frameworks and modern cloud-native architectures
