About this role
Ponderosa Talent Group is partnering with a well-funded Series C Software company looking to hire a Staff DevOps Engineer. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to create scalable architectures, leading projects, and managing production systems.
Responsibilities:
- With reliability and scalability in mind, partner with other engineering teams to produce highly performant architectures that extend to our largest customers, reading and writing millions of rows per second across numerous databases, workers, and services
- Participate in roadmapping, and influence platform decisions
- Produce high-quality, production-ready, maintainable infrastructure as code
- Lead large projects from initial inception to launch, and mentor other engineers
- Run production systems at scale
- Participate in on-call rotation and infrastructure maintenance
Requirements:
- 5+ years of full-time DevOps experience
- Deep experience with AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Ability to own the design and deployment of highly scalable systems
- Familiarity with several of the following technologies: Python, Elasticsearch, Redis, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Kinesis, EC2/GCE, EKS/GKE
