Senior Performance Software Engineer

NinjaOne is a company that unifies IT to simplify work for over 40,000 customers globally. They are seeking a Senior Performance Software Engineer to lead performance testing initiatives and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Performance Testing Design and Implementation- Design, implement, maintain, and support performance testing and data generation frameworks to surface actionable performance insights, using k6, JavaScript, Grafana, and InfluxDB
• Documentation- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architectural decision records, and performance standards
• Develop Performance Best Practices- Define and evolve best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and measurement. Partner with engineering teams to shape performance testing strategies and scalability approaches. Collaborate with teams to analyze performance bottlenecks and drive solution identification and remediation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including 2+ years in K6 or other load test frameworks, Javascript
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Native Environments AWS
• Strong background in design, performance and optimization tuning
• Deep expertise with distributed computing systems and container native environments
• Proficient in scripting for automation and observability such as Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
