Salesforce Application Architect

We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect to lead the technical design, modernization, and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions. This position focuses on transitioning legacy systems into highly available, secure, and scalable modern environments.

Role Logistics

• Location: Lansing, MI (48933)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Non-Negotiable). Onsite Wednesdays & Thursdays; Remote Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays.
• Geography Constraint: Candidates must be local to the Lansing, MI area (within 90 miles) at the time of submission.
• Contract Type: Long-term ongoing contract with potential for extension.

Key Technical Skills & Requirements

Required Experience:

• Salesforce: 5+ years of hands-on experience + 2 3 Salesforce Certifications (Mandatory).
• Core Development: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, SQL, and Web Services development.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Proven experience designing pipelines (pipeline-as-code), branching strategies, and automated testing/code reviews.
• Requirements Gathering: 5+ years collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

Highly Preferred:

• Salesforce Architect Certification
• Strong Oracle SQL development and performance tuning.
• 5+ years working within Agile environments using Secure Application Development Lifecycle (SADLC) practices.
• Database-related certifications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture utilizing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Field Service Lightning (FSL).
• Conduct Salesforce org health checks, platform assessments, and implement the Well-Architected Framework.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to development teams.
• Plan and coordinate system integrations across multiple hosting platforms and external partners.

1. Round 1 (60-Minute Virtual via MS Teams): Video required. Candidates must join from a laptop, be ready to share their screen, and undergo vendor identity validation at the start.
2. Round 2 (In-Person): Mandatory face-to-face interview in Lansing, MI.
