Senior Full Stack Engineer

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for integrating and delivering production-grade AI, machine learning, and data capabilities at RTX, combining hands-on software engineering with system-level design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React.js for front-end development and Python and node.js for back-end services
• Build and deploy applications on AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and successful solution delivery, aligned with agile principles of teamwork and transparency
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and comprehensive documentation to support long-term development
• Integrate APIs and microservices to support enterprise-grade applications
• Work with SQL databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions
• Implement best practices for version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and other DevOps tools
• Leverage knowledge of AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to enhance application capabilities and workflows
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies
• Work in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience
• Proficiency in React.js, Python, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strong understanding of front-end development, including responsive design and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Knowledge of back-end development, including RESTful APIs and SQL database integration
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with AI technologies, including RAG, NLP, and related frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, define technical direction, and drive end-to-end solutions
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and best practices
• Demonstrated deep technical curiosity and the initiative to dive into complex challenges
