Citadel Health is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Project Management to lead their global Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee the successful execution of strategic initiatives. This executive will be responsible for driving enterprise project governance, portfolio management, business transformation, and cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's enterprise Project Management strategy aligned with corporate vision and long-term business objectives
- Establish enterprise PMO governance, project management methodologies, and delivery standards
- Prioritize strategic project portfolios based on business value, organizational capacity, and executive priorities
- Lead enterprise transformation initiatives, digital modernization programs, and strategic business projects
- Provide executive guidance on project investments, resource planning, project risks, and organizational priorities
- Direct a portfolio of enterprise programs and high-impact cross-functional initiatives
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, staffing, and resource management
- Monitor project milestones, dependencies, financial performance, and overall delivery health
- Provide executive portfolio reporting and governance updates to senior leadership
- Build and continuously improve the enterprise Project Management Office (PMO)
- Standardize project governance frameworks, documentation, reporting, and best practices
- Implement portfolio management processes and project quality assurance standards
- Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement and project performance optimization
- Promote Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies across the organization
- Identify enterprise project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Lead organizational change management initiatives supporting business growth and digital transformation
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, contractual obligations, security requirements, and regulatory standards
- Manage executive project escalations and resolve critical business issues
- Support mergers and acquisitions, enterprise integrations, and large-scale operational initiatives
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, Procurement, Human Resources, and Operations
- Coordinate strategic initiatives across multiple business units and international teams
- Support product launches, technology implementations, infrastructure upgrades, compliance programs, and corporate initiatives
- Deliver executive-level reporting, portfolio insights, and strategic recommendations
- Recruit, mentor, and develop Project Directors, Program Managers, PMO Managers, Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts
- Build a high-performing project organization focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence
- Establish leadership development programs, PMO competency frameworks, certification initiatives, and succession planning
- Foster a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, and operational discipline
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in Project Management, Program Management, PMO Leadership, Enterprise Delivery, or Business Operations
- 10+ years of senior executive experience managing enterprise project portfolios and global cross-functional teams
- Proven record of successfully delivering complex strategic initiatives in large-scale or high-growth organizations
- Strong expertise in PMO governance, portfolio management, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, budgeting, risk management, resource planning, and organizational change management
- Exceptional leadership, executive communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and financial management capabilities
