About this role
SureTest, Inc. is seeking individuals with backgrounds in healthcare, business analysis, quality assurance, or software testing who are interested in growing their careers in test automation. This role involves implementing and managing automated test cases and frameworks for healthcare IT applications, as well as developing and executing test automation scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Implementation and management of automated test cases and test frameworks for healthcare IT applications
- Develop and execute test automation scripts and regression test suites
- Collaborate closely with peers to enhance testing efficiency and maintain workflow integrity
- Use automation tools (Eggplant Functional, Selenium) or programming languages (Python, SQL) to optimize testing processes
- Collaborate with a remote team in an agile, fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Background in healthcare, business analysis, quality assurance, or software testing
- Experience in EHR workflows, software testing processes, healthcare operations, or analyst roles
- Ability to think critically, learn quickly and translate that knowledge into reliable test automation
- Prior experience working in a home office environment
- Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and maintain a dedicated workspace with reliable internet
- Implementation and management of automated test cases and test frameworks for healthcare IT applications
- Develop and execute test automation scripts and regression test suites
- Collaborate closely with peers to enhance testing efficiency and maintain workflow integrity
- Use automation tools (Eggplant Functional, Selenium) or programming languages (Python, SQL) to optimize testing processes
- Collaborate with a remote team in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Solid foundation in coding or scripting
- Experience with other automation frameworks, such as Selenium
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new tools
- Well-developed interpersonal and interaction skills, with a focus on teamwork and building positive relationships
- Self-driven and capable of self-learning, while maintaining alignment with team objectives
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills or project management experience
- Experience as an analyst in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Experience with system testing, integration testing, or regression testing, whether in EHR or other enterprise platforms
- Strong understanding of how end-users interact with systems; ability to map and translate workflows into clear requirements and test scenarios
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, Allscripts, or other EHR platforms
- Broad-spectrum experience with EHR is valued more than deep specialization
- Ability to follow and replicate end-user workflows is more desirable than technical development or coding within EHRs
- Familiarity with scripting or programming (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Prior experience with Eggplant Functional is ideal; certification a plus
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium is highly relevant
- Exposure to DevOps platforms, source control, virtualization, and mobile testing devices is a bonus, but not a requirement
- Certification in Eggplant Functional, the test automation tool used at SureTest, is ideal
- Knowledge of supporting technologies (such as DevOps platforms, virtualization, or device testing) is a plus, though not required
