Advanced Infrastructure Design, Inc. (AID) is a leading consulting engineering firm specializing in infrastructure assessment and evaluation. They are seeking Senior Technical Leads to manage projects and provide technical oversight within their expanding Pavement Engineering practice.
Responsibilities:
- Performing, coordinating, and managing fieldwork operations
- Analyzing diverse field data (including GPR, FWD, and distress surveys)
- Developing pavement design recommendations using methodologies such as the 1993 AASHTO Pavement Design Guide, AASHTO Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide, AASHTOWare Pavement-ME, and FAARFIELD
- Assisting in or leading the preparation of technical project reports
- Engaging in various project types, including pavement testing, evaluation, design, and management
- Providing technical oversight and optimizing processes within the Pavement Engineering practice
- Managing multiple, concurrent projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence
- Preparing comprehensive technical and cost proposals
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing engineers and other technical staff
- Contributing to the growth of the practice area through marketing, business development, and client relations
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) of technical deliverables
Requirements:
- B.S.C.E. degree or higher
- Proficiency in technical writing and verbal communication
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite
- A proactive attitude and ability to 'hit the ground running'
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in the pavement engineering consulting industry
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
- Thorough, practical, and in-depth knowledge of pavement engineering principles and design methodologies
- Proven experience in project management, proposal preparation, and staff supervision
- Familiarity and working knowledge with AID's advanced technologies (as described above)
- Experience with pavement management and related software
- Familiarity and working knowledge with Artificial Intelligence technologies
