Founding Infrastructure Engineer

Modern Relay is focused on building a lakehouse-native graph engine optimized for various deployment environments. They are seeking a Founding Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement control planes, ensuring seamless deployments and security for their innovative data platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate the components that provide storage, control-plane, and policy services across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
• Own the layer that turns Omnigraph from an engine into a platform: the control plane and every way it gets deployed
• Build control planes for data platforms: from design to implementation
• Make sovereignty promise real, repeatable, and one click away
• Build a lakehouse-native graph engine with git-style workflows
• Optimize for on-prem and hybrid context graphs, multi-agent research, and enterprise knowledge systems
• Build and run four systems: Control plane, Deployments, Security & identity, DevOps / DevEx
• Take the cluster control plane for Omnigraph from working prototype to sellable product
• Create every shape a customer needs: hosted cloud, customer VPC, on-prem, hybrid
• Drive the design and development of policy-engine integration into cloud-native authorization environments
