RFPpower is a start-up company offering consulting and software technology for energy procurement. The Technical Sales Support Engineer will provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, support customer evaluations, and help translate customer needs into effective solution designs.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical expertise to support the sales cycle
- Configuring demonstrations of the RFPpower platform
- Explaining product capabilities
- Translating customer requirements into solution designs
- Collaborates closely with the company founders to prepare proposals
- Respond to technical questions
- Support customer evaluations and pilot deployments
- Analyzing client procurement processes
- Addressing pre-sales technical issues
- Gathering feedback from prospects to inform product enhancements
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of power procurement practices and platform features
Requirements:
- Strong Technical Sales Support skills to effectively communicate solution value and support the sales cycle
- Design and deliver product demonstrations to meet customer workflows, address customer needs, and articulate business value as a trusted technical expert in the sales process
- Ability to understand and effectively configure complex workflows, diagnose issues, interpret data, and communicate to users the system's features and capabilities
- Identify necessary system interfaces and assist in employing standard APIs to manage data across systems
- General understanding of the overall energy procurement process and roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms and ability to articulate SaaS benefits to an organization
- Experience working with customer business and technical stakeholders managing project deliverables, status, and risk mitigation to support overall customer satisfaction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present complex concepts clearly, and comfort working with cross-functional teams are beneficial
- Ability to work effectively on a remote basis and travel up to 20% time for on-site and in-person meetings

- A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
