Aegis Sortation is seeking an Onsite Project Manager responsible for executing automation projects with a focus on safety, schedule, budget, and customer experience. The role involves managing projects from kickoff to completion while collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Own project execution including scope, budget, schedule, and safety
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules
- Oversee project financials including invoicing, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Lead regular project status meetings with internal teams and customers
- Coordinate construction, field engineering, and site material management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Travel regularly to project sites to monitor progress and support field teams
- Champion site safety and compliance, resolving issues proactively
- Resolve technical, schedule, and customer issues in partnership with Engineering and Manufacturing
- Provide weekly project status reports covering budget, schedule, quality, and safety
- Serve as an ambassador for Aegis, building trust and long-term customer relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher)
- Proven experience managing projects, teams, or focused work groups
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working directly with customers and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D construction drawings
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD or similar tools
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across the U.S
- Valid driver's license
- PMP
- 5+ years of experience in material handling, distribution, or automation projects
