Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas, and they are seeking a Senior Analyst to support their Regulatory Financial Review and U.S. Liquidity efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of regulatory reports, reconciliation of liquidity data, and collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in liquidity reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the daily production of the U.S. FR 2052a regulatory report, including the execution of required manual adjustments, variance analysis, and reporting of key insights to management
- Review and reconcile enterprise liquidity data against the Bank’s Enterprise General Ledger (EGL) and other benchmark sources on a daily and monthly basis, while supporting manual adjustments for LCR, NCCF, and NSFR reporting
- Maintain and update mapping tables used by ALRE, DIS, and Algo processes to support both U.S. FR 2052a and enterprise liquidity reporting
- Review and assess new counterparties to ensure accurate classification and treatment within liquidity reporting frameworks
- Support project and system releases by developing test cases, establishing expected results and benchmarks, and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements
- Assist in the preparation of business requirement documents and the maintenance of operational procedures and process documentation
- Partner closely with Global Wholesale Risk Technology (GWRT) teams to identify, investigate, and resolve production and project-related issues
- Collaborate with Global Risk Technology (GRT) teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved, while participating in UAT execution and validation activities
- Document UAT outcomes through test closure reports and log defects in JIRA for failed test cases, ensuring timely resolution and tracking
- Develop and execute regression testing protocols prior to implementation of system changes into the production environment
- Assist in responding to regulatory, audit, and management inquiries related to liquidity reporting and data governance
- Support various ad hoc analyses, reporting requests, and special projects as required
