Ideal Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in the IT industry with a strong focus on databases and data pipelines
- Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server with experience with SSIS
- Working familiarity with a variety of database systems and data source types.
- Practical experience of AWS data and compute services such as EC2, EMR, ECS, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, EventBridge and related technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting or object-oriented languages such as Python/PySpark, Java and C#.
- Experience building and optimizing AWS-based data pipelines, architectures, and high-volume data sets.
- Exposure to BI tools like Tableau or Qlik and an understanding of how data supports reporting and dashboards.
- Competency with MS Office
