Senior Software Engineer

Cordial is a company founded in 2014 focused on enhancing humanity and empathy in marketing. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the engineering team in developing scalable systems, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely delivery of features.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead technical roadmaps, ensuring that the engineering team builds scalable, high-performance systems
• Set engineering standards for code quality, design, and implementation, guiding the team to follow these principles
• Provide mentorship to junior and senior engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Identify and implement best practices in software development and ensure the team adopts them
• Lead architectural discussions, ensuring that software systems meet long-term goals, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineers to develop sound technical strategies and solutions
• Drive architectural improvements and technical debt resolution across the platform
• Make critical decisions on technology stacks, tools, and frameworks that align with our business and technical objectives
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and other business units to align engineering work with business priorities
• Advocate for engineering needs and ensure that projects are executed within timeframes and budgets
• Ensure the timely delivery of features and services that meet quality standards
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development and bring innovative ideas to the team
• Lead research and development initiatives to explore new tools and approaches to solve technical challenges
• Tackle complex and challenging problems that require in-depth technical knowledge and creative solutions
• Serve as a role model in both technical and soft skills, contributing to a positive engineering culture
• Mentor other engineers, fostering their technical and career growth
• Lead technical interviews and play a key role in hiring and onboarding new team members

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of leading technical work on complex, high-scale systems
