ServiceNow is a pioneer in identity security, and they are seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Access Review feature of their IAM platform. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that address customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our IAM platform, ensuring they deliver high performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, and security experts to build features that align with business goals and meet security requirements
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Access Review feature, a cutting-edge addition to our IAM platform
- Build and manage identity lifecycle management features, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control policies
- Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing functionality to ensure platform visibility and compliance with regulatory standards
- Continuously enhance the performance, security, and scalability of the IAM platform through code reviews, testing, and refactoring
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management, leveraging them to drive innovation and elevate the platform
Requirements:
- 7+ years of proven experience in backend software development, with a focus on identity and access management, security, or related areas
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Golang and Java
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus
