SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to build relationships and close deals in the pharmacy benefits and patient affordability space, leveraging industry connections and sales expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across discount card companies, cash‑pay pricing platforms, patient assistance organizations, eHealth companies, and specialty pharmacies
- Develop a go‑to‑market plan and drive new partnership opportunities
- Use your industry network to connect with decision‑makers at target companies
- Lead conversations about patient affordability solutions, benefit design, pricing, and related technology
- Understand customer needs and match them to the right solutions
- Work closely with product, tech, and operations teams to build proposals and win deals
- Keep up with the latest in PBMs, health plan benefits, discount card pricing, and patient affordability programs
- Bring back insights that help shape strategy and product development
- Lead contract discussions, pricing talks, and partnership terms
- Manage long and complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
Requirements:
- 8–12+ years of sales or business development experience in PBMs or health plans
- 8–12+ years of sales or business development experience in drug discount card or cash‑pay pricing platforms
- 8–12+ years of sales or business development experience in pharma hub or patient assistance services
- 8–12+ years of sales or business development experience in specialty pharmacy
- 8–12+ years of sales or business development experience in digital health or healthcare technology
- Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solution design, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Consistently meet or exceed annual revenue and pipeline targets
- Drive new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time and live near a major airport
- Existing relationships or strong familiarity with senior leaders across affordability ecosystem
- Proven ability to close large, complex deals
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to executives
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and navigate complex organizations
- Basic understanding of pharmacy claims and NCPDP standards
- Basic understanding of copay, voucher, and discount card workflows
- Basic understanding of eligibility, pricing, and benefit coordination
- Basic understanding of API integrations and tech-enabled healthcare platforms
