Senior Product Manager

Avalara is a leading company in cloud compliance solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Product Manager to enhance their International VAT Reporting product. The role involves translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable product features while collaborating with various teams to improve compliance outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Own product areas supporting VAT reporting across multiple countries
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear, scalable product features
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and Content teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to identify pain points and validate solutions
• Prioritise backlog based on compliance risk, customer impact, and business value
• Track product performance using metrics like adoption, accuracy, and efficiency
• Contribute to product strategy by identifying opportunities to simplify compliance
• Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, analysis, and decision-making

Requirements:

• 7+ years of product management experience in SaaS or regulated domains
• Experience with VAT, tax, or compliance products (or ability to ramp quickly)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complex problems
• Experience delivering products in cross-functional, agile teams
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business teams
• Comfort using data and AI tools to inform decisions
• Experience using AI and AI-related technologies
