Strategic Finance

Sieve is an AI research lab focused on building high-quality multimodal datasets. The role involves owning financial planning and reporting, developing a deep understanding of unit economics, and supporting strategic decisions across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Build and own Sieve’s financial model, forecasts, budgets, and runway planning
• Model the true cost and margin of customer deals across reinforcement learning, computer use, video, and other data types
• Partner with leadership on pricing, resource allocation, hiring plans, and other strategic decisions
• Develop Sieve’s compute strategy, including capacity planning, vendor evaluation, and long-term commitments
• Model and optimize contributor payouts to balance supply, quality, speed, and margin
• Own financial reporting for the leadership team and board
• Build scalable financial processes, systems, and controls as the company grows
• Work across commercial, engineering, and operations teams to improve financial visibility and operating efficiency
