About this role
Timmons Group is a full-service engineering and technology firm recognized nationally as a “Best Firm to Work For” by CE News. They are seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III for their Raleigh, NC office or to work remotely, focusing on the design of renewable energy structures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections
- Perform routine and complex design of cast-in-place concrete slabs
- Understanding of general renewable energy nomenclature
- Assist with the development of scope, schedule and budgets for projects
- Assist with the management of projects and tasks
- Assist with marketing and proposal development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
- 2+ years of solar structure design experience required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in structural design software packages, specifically LPile, Mathcad, Excel
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for plan development
- Master's degree preferred
- PE License is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability to create pile plot plans is a plus
