Job Summary
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) is seeking a Senior Agile Scrum/Flow Master to support the Data Modernization Project within the Division of Public Health (DPH).
The Scrum/Flow Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, support delivery of Epics and Features, coordinate sprint and release planning, manage Agile workflows, remove delivery impediments, and collaborate with Product Owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
Daily Stand-ups
Sprint Planning
Sprint Reviews
Sprint Retrospectives
Guide Agile teams in Scrum and Kanban best practices.
Ensure sprint goals and high-priority backlog items are delivered successfully.
Support Product Owners with:
Backlog refinement
Story grooming
Prioritization
Help teams meet the Definition of Done for all deliverables.
Coach team members on Agile principles and continuous improvement.
Remove blockers and impediments affecting team productivity.
Escalate risks, dependencies, and issues when appropriate.
Shield development teams from unnecessary interruptions.
Coordinate release planning with technical leads and stakeholders.
Track team performance using Agile metrics such as:
Velocity
Burndown Charts
Cycle Time
Create and maintain dashboards in JIRA.
Provide project status updates and progress reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Scaled Agile environment.
Support Program Increment (PI) Planning and dependency management.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and transparency across teams.
Ensure Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, etc.) are effectively utilized.
