They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and support mechanical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems for industrial facilities including process piping, HVAC systems, and thermal systems
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform site inspections, assessments, and field verifications to support both new designs and modifications to existing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, civil, and structural engineers, project managers, and contractors
- Support equipment selection and procurement for piping and HVAC systems
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in industrial settings
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI, NFPA), safety standards, and client requirements
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources efficiently
- Provide technical input during proposal development and participate in client meetings as needed
Requirements:
- PE License
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in industrial processing, piping design, and HVAC systems
- Proficient in engineering software such as Autodesk products
- Knowledge of relevant standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, SMACNA, ASHRAE)
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Master's in Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with field-friendly design and optimizing overall cost, including field costs
