About this role
ARK Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure while driving automation across the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance using industry-standard monitoring tools
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and high availability
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams
- Implement DevSecOps best practices and security controls throughout the deployment lifecycle
- Manage configuration management and release automation
- Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call production support and incident response when required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Linux administration
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, SSL/TLS, IAM, and security best practices
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience with Kubernetes services (Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE)
- Experience implementing GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or New Relic
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and DevSecOps tools
- Experience supporting SaaS or microservices-based architectures
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
