GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work in a collaborative Agile development environment to support the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The role involves partnering with stakeholders and development teams to gather requirements, support application testing, and ensure software solutions meet business needs while adhering to Agile best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and development teams to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements
- Develop business requirements, functional requirements, user requirements, and non-functional requirements that accurately define project objectives and system behavior
- Create and manage user stories, tasks, bugs, and other work items within Azure DevOps or a similar Agile project management platform
- Participate as an active member of a Scrum or Agile development team throughout the software development lifecycle
- Perform functional and regression testing to validate application functionality and ensure requirements have been met
- Support automated testing efforts using tools such as Selenium or similar testing frameworks
- Participate in facilitated workshops and requirements analysis sessions with business and technical stakeholders
- Create and maintain project documentation, user guides, and other business analysis deliverables
- Provide customer support, answer user questions, and assist with end-user training when needed
- Test and document software accessibility requirements and support compliance with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst on Agile or Scrum software development teams
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business, functional, user, and non-functional requirements
- Experience creating user stories, tasks, defects, and backlog items using Azure DevOps or a similar Agile management tool
- Experience performing software application testing and validating system functionality against business requirements
- Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies and business analysis best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience developing project documentation, user guides, and other business analysis artifacts
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, development teams, and project leadership
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium
- Experience facilitating requirements workshops with business stakeholders
- Experience testing software applications for accessibility compliance
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
- Experience supporting end-user training and customer support activities
