Critical Systems Analysis, LLC is a safety consulting company focused on the rail and robotics industries. As a Senior Robotics Safety Engineer, you will lead safety engineering projects, conduct safety analysis, provide technical consulting, and support safety programs for robotics systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage safety programs for robotics projects, including project definition, management, budget compliance, schedule adherence, and project reporting. Supervise and manage team members
- Lead safety engineering activities in the robotics sector by setting direction for complex projects, developing schedules, and coordinating all phases of work
- Develop safety requirements and safety plans, perform system safety and hazard analysis, and report on findings
- Review and interpret robotics safety regulations and standards. Monitor client safety performance, conduct safety inspections, and assist in regulatory compliance
- Train clients on robotics safety program development, performance, documentation, and regulatory acceptance
- Solve complex safety issues related to robotics systems, including both hardware and software safety
- Manage, train, and mentor Junior Safety Engineers

Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience as a Safety Engineer, with a focus on robotics systems
- Experience leading a safety program from inception through execution
- Expertise in technical safety analysis including hazard analyses, risk assessments, FTAs, and RBDs
- Thorough understanding of the safety lifecycle in robotics and automation contexts
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations including IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and ISO 13482
- Experience with both software and hardware safety in robotics systems
- Superior communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical data in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in technical documentation
- Functional Safety Expert certificate or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
