Employment Enterprises, Inc. is a public liberal arts and sciences university in Virginia offering over 60 undergraduate programs. They are seeking a Director of Enterprise Project Management & Transformation to lead governance and oversight of strategic technology initiatives, ensuring timely and aligned delivery with university priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an enterprise project management framework, methodology, standards, and governance processes to support a centralized portfolio of strategic initiatives
- Direct complex cross-functional and multi-division programs, including ERP modernization, digital transformation, cloud migrations, system implementations, and organizational change efforts
- Develop and manage project charters, work plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, communication plans, and governance structures across the project lifecycle
- Oversee portfolio health by monitoring schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks, issues, and outcomes, and provide executive dashboards and reporting mechanisms
- Lead organizational change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, adoption planning, and mitigation of barriers to change
- Prepare executive-level status reporting, steering committee materials, and governance updates, translating technical details into business impacts and decision points
- Establish risk management standards, ensure compliance with governance expectations and documentation practices, and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned
- Mentor and develop project management talent, promote best practices, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 10+ years of project management experience
- Significant progressively responsible experience leading complex projects, programs, or portfolios involving multiple stakeholders and organizational units
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise technology initiatives, business transformation efforts, or large-scale organizational change programs
- Experience developing executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and strategic communications; strong facilitation and governance leadership experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Agile, Prosci Change Management, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable professional certification
- Experience managing project risks, budgets, schedules, dependencies, and resource planning, including collaboration with implementation partners, consultants, vendors, or third-party service providers
