Senior Software Engineer - Next-Gen

They are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build the next generation of their cloud-based document management platform, focusing on production-grade applications and solving complex technical challenges. The role involves collaborating closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software and drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain production-grade full stack applications using React, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS technologies
• Develop scalable backend services and modern frontend experiences that power secure web and mobile applications
• Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets performance, security, and quality standards
• Build and validate software across multiple environments throughout the development lifecycle
• Design and implement event-driven and service-oriented solutions
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions that improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Build solutions leveraging AWS services and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs and external services
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability to improve production visibility
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments
• Ensure solutions align with security and engineering best practices
• Take ownership of features from design through deployment and ongoing support
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend scalable solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Document technical designs, workflows, and architectural decisions to improve team alignment
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving sessions
• Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across the engineering team
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that improve engineering productivity and product capabilities
• Explore AI-powered services and third-party integrations to expand platform capabilities
• Leverage agentic AI tools to increase development efficiency and engineering impact

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade applications
• Strong experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Experience building modern frontend applications and scalable backend services
• Strong experience designing and implementing REST and GraphQL APIs
• Experience with event-driven and service-oriented architectures
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS services and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Understanding of distributed systems; experience with Kafka or similar event streaming technologies is a plus
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services
• Experience implementing application monitoring, logging, and observability
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with C# preferred; Java experience also considered
• Experience building highly scalable SaaS applications
• Experience developing cloud-native architectures on AWS
• Experience with AI-powered services or modern AI development tools
• Experience building secure enterprise software or working in regulated industries
• Experience optimizing application performance and reliability in production environments
