About this role
Ambitus is an applied AI product and research company that partners with domain experts and enterprises to advance frontier AI capabilities. They are seeking experienced environmental engineers and water resources engineers for remote contract work, focusing on modeling natural systems and writing reports in areas such as stormwater and air quality. The role is project-based and designed to fit around existing work schedules.
Responsibilities:
- This is a contract position: fully remote, asynchronous, and designed to fit around your existing work
- Compensation based on experience
- Projects draw directly on your professional experience and the software you are familiar with

Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant role (freelance, agency, or in-house)
- deep hands-on fluency with the professional software of your field
- ability to clearly explain your work: what you make, how you make it, and how you judge quality
